Service Description

Neuro-Affirming Support, Psycho-Education & Resources for Neurodivergent People and Families Glimmers, Spins & Stims is a neuro-affirming resource center and Social Work private practice created to support neurodivergent children, teens, adults, parents, and families with clarity, compassion, and practical guidance. This is a safe, affirming space for people who are exploring neurodivergent identity, navigating autism, ADHD, learning differences, sensory needs, executive functioning challenges, anxiety, burnout, school stress, career uncertainty, or family overwhelm. At Glimmers, Spins & Stims, support is not based on “fixing” neurodivergent people. Instead, the focus is on understanding each person’s unique nervous system, strengths, needs, values, communication style, sensory profile, learning preferences, and support needs. The goal is to help individuals and families move from confusion, shame, and survival mode toward self-understanding, advocacy, emotional safety, and practical next steps. 1. Neuro-affirming psycho-social counselling Support for neurodivergent teens and adults who need a gentle, validating space to process identity, emotions, stress, burnout, relationships, family dynamics, life transitions, and self-advocacy. 2. Parent guidance and family support Practical support for parents who are trying to understand and support their neurodivergent child or teenager, especially when the teenage years feel overwhelming, confusing, or emotionally intense. 3. Neurodivergent wellness and identity exploration Support for late-diagnosed, self-identified, or questioning neurodivergent adults who are beginning to reframe their life story through a more compassionate and affirming lens.
